FIRE

HOME

Well, if you know me, then you know what I do for a living. If  you just happened to find this site, then you have probably figured out that I am a firefighter by profession.  I've been in the fire service since I was 18, and  I've been a volunteer firefighter, a career firefighter, and a military firefighter, sometimes all at the same time!   If you're not closely acquainted with the fire service, then you may not know that many firefighters have specialties within the fire service.  Some firefighters are also paramedics, some are trained in technical rescue, some are Hazardous Materials specialists, some specialize in public education, and some are fire code inspectors.  Some, like myself, are trained as fire investigators.  I got into investigations because I have always wanted to know "why" things happen.  I have had lots of training in investigations and am a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI).  I work for two fire departments (one full-time and one part-time), am an investigator for the Sheriff's Office, and am also employed (on my days off) by a private investigations firm as a fire investigator.  Yes, I keep busy.  Somewhere in there I manage to find time to pursue my degree in Fire Science Technology, which I hope to have done by the beginning of 2004.

Anyways, here is some fire stuff for you:

You will need winamp, MusicMatch Jukebox or a similar program to listen to the on-line feed.
