FIRE

HOME

Well, if you know me, then you know what I do for a living. If  you just happened to find this site, then you have probably figured out that I am a firefighter by profession.  I've been in the fire service since I was 18, and  I've been a volunteer firefighter, a career firefighter, and a military firefighter, sometimes all at the same time!   If you're not closely acquainted with the fire service, then you may not know that many firefighters have specialties within the fire service.  Some firefighters are also paramedics, some are trained in technical rescue, some are Hazardous Materials specialists, some specialize in public education, and some are fire code inspectors.  Some, like myself, are trained as fire investigators.  I got into investigations because I have always wanted to know "why" things happen.  I have had lots of training in investigations and am a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI).  I work for a fire department and a Sheriff's Office as a fire investigator.  Yes, I keep busy.  Somewhere in there I managed to find time to pursue my degree in Fire Science Technology, and I occasionally teach fire investigations at the local college and police academy.

Anyways, here is some fire stuff for you:
